The Snow Continues

Bruce made it home safe and sound. He had big chunks of ice stuck to and dripping from his truck. He had a lot of snow in the back of his truck that had not melted on the ride down. Here are a couple of pictures of his truck. The camera just couldn't capture how dirty and icy it was, but I'm sharing anyway.

On Friday, December 19th, Bruce and I spent the morning playing around in the snow. I made a snow angel, Bruce showed me what 'white washing' was 5 or so times, and he taught me how to sled with a garbage bag. That night the forcast showed a 'snowstorm' moving in and bringing more snow to play in. Saturday was a madhouse at stores while everyone prepared for possible power outages and being stuck indoors. It snowed tiny flakes all Saturday afternoon but there wasn't really the wind they were predicting (at least not in Tacoma, Buckley certainly got hit).

Ok, we don't usually get this much snow around here. Especially before Xmas. We measured between 6-8 inches of snow around the house and yard. We needed to take advantage of the opportunity of lots of snow on the weekend. It was around midnight and we decided we couldn't wait until morning because freezing rain was in the forcast, which could spoil everything. We set out to build a snowman, which somehow turned into an older lady snowgal who likes a little Coors to help with the cold and maybe with socializing with us strangers. Then we packed the snow in the back yard, grabbed a trashbag, and we went 'sledding'. It was a lot of fun, but we were really tired when we got inside.

Your SnowGal is fabulous! I'm with my friends out in Seabeck for the weekend. We got about 7 inches last night! Sledding on a garbage bag looks fun too! Love Ya!
