Well, Mia's been attempting to master this feat for weeks now and yesterday she finally did it! She's sucking her thumb. Ok, she's done it before but yesterday was different. She was about 90% consistent in getting it in. I thought it would help her take a nap now but when she relaxed her thumb would fall out and she'd wake up so it ended up being the most fitful nap. She loves it though and makes cute little squeaky sounds when sucking on her thumb. This morning I put her in the swing a little drowsy and she drifted off to sleep looking at the mobile and gnawing on her thumb. Cute pictures below :)
It's bittersweet watching her develop. I'm so happy for her to be making progress as it's been making life a lot easier on both of us and we've finally found our groove, but I love her being my teeny tiny snuggle bug. Gosh, she's still a "newborn" and I already get weepy over her growing out of her teeniest of clothes. We have a ways to go, sheesh.
